Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, the Jeju Content Promotion Agency and the Korea Music Label Industry Association will jointly hold the "2025 Jeju Music Weekend (JEJU MUSIC WEEKEND)" at Be IN; performance hall on Nov. 15 (Sat).
Now in its fifth year, the event will be a交流-focused music program combining seminars, showcases and networking aimed at expanding and revitalizing Jeju's regional music ecosystem.
The first program, a seminar titled "Regional music content exchange and networking," will discuss ways to connect regions through music and to induce the revitalization of local music ecosystems. In the following session, "The era of curators: AI production and taste drive growth," speakers will present changing music production trends in an AI technology environment and the potential for expanding taste-based curation.
After the seminar, showcases will follow featuring musicians selected for the 2025 Jeju Music Creation Center's "record production support program," including D.Whale, Dinosaur Running Club and Wednesday Off. The showcase is arranged to invite domestic music industry figures and music-loving audiences together to present the selected artists' musicality. Planned as a networking-type showcase that opens external expansion possibilities such as future distribution, collaboration and overseas advancement beyond a simple live performance, the artists on stage will present live performances that reflect Jeju's character and sensibility.
The event can be attended free of charge by pre-registering through the Be IN; website (be-in.kr) or by on-site registration, and more detailed information is available on the Jeju Music Creation Center website (jemu.kr).
Senior researcher Ha Do-yeon of the Jeju Content Promotion Agency said, "Jeju Music Weekend has broadened the base of the regional music ecosystem over the past five years and has created a foundation for musicians to move to larger stages. We will continue to actively support strengthening the virtuous cycle of creation and distribution for musicians through ongoing exchanges and expanding the competitiveness of Jeju music at home and abroad."
