The 7th episode of TV CHOSUN's entertainment show 'My Way - Overimmersion Club' (hereafter 'My Way'), which aired on the 22nd, depicted the daily lives of rookie trot singer Cheon Nok-dam, who is overimmersed in 'filial piety,' and seafood creator Subingsoo, who is overimmersed in 'large-scale seafood dissection.'
That day Cheon Nok-dam invited his mother and mother-in-law and prepared a 'Seoul filial piety trip.' The mother-in-law who had come up from Jeju said, "It's my first time seeing Seoul," sounding excited, and Cheon Nok-dam said, "I'm going to places in Seoul I haven't been to either," foreshadowing a special day.
First, Cheon Nok-dam took the two mothers to a traditional Korean restaurant in Myeongdong and flexed, saying, "Order expensive things as much as you like." As they ate, the two women's gestures of yielding to one another created a warm atmosphere. At the oriental medicine clinic they visited for the mothers' health, the mothers took more care of Cheon Nok-dam's health. The next dawn, upon hearing the news that a big catch had been made, Subingsoo rushed to Mokpo. Waiting at the site was a giant octopus weighing a whopping 17kg. Seeing an octopus taller than himself, Tak Jae-hoon shouted, "Isn't this a dinosaur?" and the studio gasped.
Subingsoo carried the giant octopus to his father's home in Haenam. Beginning the dissection himself, he explained why he became overimmersed in large-scale seafood dissection, saying, "Dissecting an octopus feels like a test of strength. When you finish the preparation, you feel like you've won."
With the help of his father and younger brother, Subingsoo finished preparing the octopus and presented a variety of dishes including octopus confit, octopus head baeksuk, and octopus gill boiled pork. In particular, the "gill boiled pork" made from commonly discarded octopus gills piqued the cast's curiosity. Yunho said, "I think people will look for this a lot from now on," expressing admiration.
Also, the "octopus head baeksuk," in which a whole chicken is placed inside the octopus head and boiled, surprised everyone with its overwhelming visual.
