Gwak Seon-hee said she met her same-sex partner's parents as she prepares to marry a partner one year older.
On the 23rd, Gwak Seon-hee shared a post her partner had uploaded on social media and revealed the wedding preparations.
In the shared post, Gwak Seon-hee's partner posted a photo saying, "Going to Daegu to get permission to marry (informing, haha)," and the two were shown moving while carrying shopping bags in both hands.
Gwak Seon-hee's partner expressed gratitude to Gwak Seon-hee for bringing gifts, saying, "Thank you so much for packing my mom's gift with both hands," and Gwak Seon-hee added, "It's small and cute, but.."
Earlier, after publicly revealing her same-sex partner in July, Gwak Seon-hee drew attention by announcing wedding plans the very next month. At the time, Gwak Seon-hee recalled, "I came out in July, but during the broadcast I thought I was heterosexual," and added with a laugh, "I didn't go on The Iron Squad W to meet a woman but for the experience. Of course there were many cool and dependable older sisters, so I was happy and honored."
She confessed, "I'm participating in the New York Marathon in November and my girlfriend agreed to go with me. Acquaintances told us that you can do a wedding vow there. If the opportunity arises, we plan to do it." She also announced, "At the end of November we also have a wedding shoot scheduled in Jeju," drawing congratulations.
Gwak Seon-hee said, "I became certain about marriage the moment we met. Previously neither of us had thought about marriage at all, but we began to think we wanted to keep living together," and added with a laugh, "People around us worry it's too fast, but in Korea many couples marry within three to six months. Why couldn't it be us? Because we're very sure, we plan to eat well and live well."
Then on the 18th, Gwak Seon-hee revealed she had been proposed to by her same-sex partner and added the line, "You who are always more than I deserve, I will love you forever."
Meanwhile, last year Gwak Seon-hee appeared as the Army team head on Channel A's entertainment program The Iron Squad W, raising her profile. Since then she has balanced exercise and freelance modeling while actively communicating with fans through social media. Gwak Seon-hee will marry her same-sex partner in New York this November.<
