"Teukjong Sesang" singer Hyun Jin-woo revealed the shocking reason for his divorce.
On the 23rd episode of MBN's "Teukjong Sesang," the couple Hyun Jin-woo and On Hee-jung, known as the parents of six children, appeared. The mother-in-law, a shaman who also worked in the kitchen, felt sorry for her daughter On Hee-jung, and Hyun Jin-woo was deeply grateful that unmarried On Hee-jung married him for his sake.
Hyun Jin-woo said the divorce was entirely the fault of his ex-wife. Hyun Jin-woo said, "We divorced four years after we married. Her lies about age, academic background, assets and name never seemed to end. There were seizure stickers. Red stickers were attached. She accumulated debt and spent it on luxury items," revealing the reasons.
Learning of this story, Hyun Jin-woo's eldest son, Jin-woo, whose biological mother is the ex-wife, asked, "Grandmother, how did you think to marry mom to our dad?" The grandmother, generous, responded, "What fault did you children have?" showing a forgiving figure.
After the divorce, Hyun Jin-woo continued his singing career while raising young children alone. Hyun Jin-woo said, "I had to raise three kids and felt overwhelmed. I was in my late 20s then. I had to grow as a singer too: take the kids to perform, book motel rooms and sleep with the kids, fold down car seats to change diapers — it was brutal," revealing his hardships.
