Comedian-turned-entertainer Park Bomi once again shed tears recalling her son who died after 15 months. Two years had passed, and during that time Park Bomi became a mother after giving birth to a daughter, but the sorrow of having lost her first child so tragically remained, evoking sympathy.
In the closing preview of the TV CHOSUN program Our Baby Was Born Again that aired on the 21st, the grants of the couple Park Bomi and Park Yohan were featured.
Park Bomi married soccer player Park Yohan in December 2020, and in 2022 she held her first son, Simon. But the following May, due to a febrile illness, she had to sadly send off her 15-month-old son Simon. At the time Park Bomi confessed, "The hospital told me to decide on saying goodbye to the child. My mind knew I had to let him go, but it was so sad to think I would never see the child who looked like he was sleeping again," drawing tears from many people.
In the preview video, Park Suhong empathized, saying, "When the whole nation heard that sorrow, I cried so much," and Park Bomi recalled, "My child's body suddenly stiffened in my arms and then went limp." Park Bomi said the funeral plaque for her son read "angel Park Simon," and Park Yohan sobbed as he remembered his son who had passed away.
After losing their 15-month-old son and falling into deep grief, another angel came to the couple Park Yohan and Park Bomi. Park Bomi, who had tried natural conception and in vitro fertilization several times but experienced two miscarriages and was exhausted in both mind and body, succeeded in becoming pregnant with a second daughter about two years after her son's death.
Park Bomi looked back, saying, "After sending beloved Simon first and experiencing two miscarriages, I began in vitro fertilization. I deeply realized that carrying a life is never something to be taken for granted or easy." A close associate told OSEN, "During that time she was very cautious. She lived somewhat reclusively and was very careful about announcing the pregnancy," recounting the process leading up to Park Bomi's pregnancy.
Having carried a miraculous new life that returned after pain, Park Bomi brought comfort and hope to many, and earlier this month she gave birth to a daughter.
Park Bomi moved many with her miraculous story. But her feelings for her son remained. Although two years have passed, Park Bomi still remembers that pain, and one could feel a mother's heart from her.
