KOYOTE Shinji picked out a new car ahead of her wedding.
On the 22nd, Shinji released a video titled "I sold the Porsche that held 15 years of love and hatred and bought a new car" on her YouTube channel "Eotteoshinji."
In the video, Shinji visited a service center with her fiancé Moonwon to look for a new car. Shinji said, "My beloved Aema is on its last legs, so I don't think I can do anything more. For safety, I sold the Porsche as a used car."
It has been about 15 years since Shinji last changed cars. Shinji explained, "KOYOTE members told me, 'Are you still driving that car?' and 'Please change it now,' so I made up my mind and changed it."
According to Shinji, the car she had driven for 15 years held special meaning. While Shinji was on her way to her parents' house in the past, a leaf spring that had fallen onto the road flew into the car, and because it was an SUV she was able to avoid serious injury. Shinji said, "It's time to let the car go, but I'm not mentally ready yet," showing that she needed time to prepare.
Moonwon, who was with her, said, "She cherished the same car for 15 years, so I know how she must feel about changing it; it's a bit bittersweet. I hope this car protects Shinji well going forward," showing he understood her feelings. Still, Moonwon promised, "It's nice because it's a new car. I will take good care of it until the end."
