Broadcaster Jang Young-ran revealed the honest reason she bought her first designer sneakers.
On the 22nd, a video titled "First reveal of Jang Young-ran's designer wardrobe that's worth a fortune (designer gifts from subscribers)" was posted on the YouTube channel "A-grade Jang Young-ran." That day, Jang Young-ran revealed her personal collection of designer shoes and shared the story of how she came to buy her first designer sneakers.
Jang Young-ran recalled, "I moved to Mok-dong; I regret it now, but I did it to send my i-dle to an English kindergarten. I left the children at daycare and went alone to the English kindergarten, and when the mothers came down, all I could see were their shoes. They were only wearing expensive shoes like Chanel and Gucci."
She added, "At the time I was wearing ten-thousand-won shoes bought on the street. I felt so shabby. I don't let things like that get to me now, but back then I had nothing, so I felt even more intimidated," she said candidly.
In the end she said, "To send my child to an English kindergarten in Mok-dong, I thought I should at least have one pair of designer shoes," and revealed her first designer sneakers: jeweled sneakers by Miu Miu.
Jang Young-ran laughed, "I wore them after removing the padding. When the jewels came off I had them 'put back in' and had them repaired at least five times." She added, "Thanks to these shoes I didn't feel intimidated. They're shoes I can never throw away and that mean a lot to me," showing her special affection for her first designer sneakers.
