Broadcaster Ye-won, formerly of the group Jewelry, revealed the behind-the-scenes of a past swearing incident.
On the 22nd, a video titled "Ye-won, the no-filter living room queen who fell into shamanism and exceeded 10 million views" was posted on the YouTube channel Geunbon Channel's Dongdong Pocha.
That day Ye-won said she is very interested in superstitions and said, "I'm intuitive too. If I do something and think 'I probably shouldn't do this?' then trouble happens." Then Jang Jun asked, "Even then? Did you have a feeling?" which caused bursts of laughter.
Ye-won also confessed, "I once went to a fortune teller who said, 'Your fate is that if you make your name big and become famous and succeed, you will have a short life.' So they said that is why that happened."
She continued, "They said if I became too famous and had too much, my fate was to die early. But my ancestors helped and took all of that away," she added. Golden Child's Jang Jun and Shin Dong jokingly asked, "Then was that look the ancestors' look?" and "Was that person possessed too?" drawing laughter.
Earlier, Ye-won got into a verbal fight with actress Lee Tae-im during filming of MBC's Diddonggapnaegi Private Tutoring in 2015. At the time, videos showing casual speech and swearing circulated, severely damaging her image, and she ultimately faced repercussions such as a suspension of activities.
Ye-won debuted as a member of Jewelry in 2011, and after the group's disbandment she has continued to work alternating between variety shows and acting.
