Fashion lifestyle magazine Allure Korea released the photo spread and interview with Dayoung on the 22nd.
In the photos, Dayoung displayed a unique charm with a chic black leather jacket, naturally tousled hair and natural makeup. With a deep gaze directed at the camera, she exuded a different kind of charisma never seen before, drawing a strong reaction from global fans.
An interview that offers a glimpse of Dayoung's sincere charm was also released. Dayoung shared various stories, including the behind-the-scenes of her solo first digital single 'gonna love me, right?' released last month.
Regarding not conducting separate promotions before the album release, Dayoung said, "I wanted the first content of the album to be the music video," adding, "I judged that one photo could not capture that vibe. So without pre-promotion, we decided to show the music video teaser and the music show stage."
On why she heated things up herself, she said, "Through my solo debut, I wanted to rebrand myself." She added, "I like who I am after debuting in 2016 and working until now, but through solo activities I wanted to create a reversal so that my previous self would not come to mind."
Dayoung achieved the feat of ranking first on cable channel SBS funE's The Show with the title track "body." About this, she expressed gratitude to those who helped, saying, "One of the reasons this album was more desperate was also because of many people's help. I was able to achieve this thanks to them," and added, "The meaning of being No. 1 is really big to me. It gave me a reason to do more music," which made expectations for her future activities grow.
