KBS comedian-turned-trot singer Jeong Ji-min has suddenly released her fourth "Mama series" new song "Howan Mama".
The recently released new song features a lively sound that adds EDM's refined rhythms to trot's cheerfulness, and is characterized by an addictive melody that people of all ages can easily sing along to.
Also, "Howan Mama" reverses a word that was traditionally used to mean "scary" to cheerfully express the various roles and charms of a versatile mother in modern society.
At work she is a professional employee, at home a strong protector who keeps the family safe, and at times she shines as a friend and mentor—the song portrays the image of a "multiplayer-type mother" with trot's characteristic wit and energy.
Jeong Ji-min said, "'Howan Mama' started from the concept of a "mother who is compatible in multiple ways" in various situations," and added, "I want to deliver cheerful energy and a message of positivity to all mothers and families."
Meanwhile, Jeong Ji-min has released four "Mama series" songs—"Super Mama," "Vacance Mama," "Jingle Mama," and now "Howan Mama"—and has established herself as a "Trot Mama" who pioneered an original genre combining trot and EDM.
This song was composed and arranged by Ryu Han-bit of the mixed group Hwiping Rose, who gave it a refined EDM-trot color, and the lyrics were co-written by QLee (MUMW) and Jeong Ji-min, containing a realistic yet humorous message. In addition, JG Studio's PD Choi Sun-ho's precise mixing and mastering further enhanced the sound's completeness.
Following the song's release, the "Howan Mama" music video will be released soon. Comedian Lee Sang-gu makes a guest appearance, adding a comedic yet warm story.
The music video was produced by Cheonsang Entertainment and is expected to present high-quality visuals.<
