The group TOMORROW X TOGETHER topped the Oricon chart with the title track from their third Japanese studio album.
TOMORROW X TOGETHER (Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, Hueningkai)'s Japanese third studio album Starkissed title track Can't Stop jumped straight to No. 1 on Oricon's daily digital single ranking dated the 20th. Can't Stop, released at 12 a.m. on the 20th, also reached No. 1 on Japan iTunes' Top Songs, proving strong local interest.
The music video for the song is also drawing strong attention. After reaching No. 1 on Japan's major music site Line Music's Music Video Top 100 (Oct. 20), the video surpassed 10 million views on YouTube around 7 p.m. on the 21st. Comments on the video include "Not only the song but the vocals, choreography and visuals are perfect," and "I hope Korean and English versions come out," among other positive responses.
Can't Stop depicts the moment your name is called, when you open your eyes and, with explosive power, save our world. It is in the electro-funk genre, characterized by intense synth sounds and compelling rhythms. The energetic yet delicate voices of TOMORROW X TOGETHER blend to create a distinctive atmosphere.
The music video centers on sports. Soobin and Beomgyu play tennis with dynamic energy, Yeonjun shows distinctive dance lines at a bowling alley, Taehyun is seen sweating through boxing, and Hueningkai impresses as a passionate drummer. As it moves into the latter part, the energy intensifies, delivering exhilaration to viewers.
TOMORROW X TOGETHER will hold a showcase today (the 22nd) to commemorate the official release of Starkissed and meet local fans. They will then appear on EX's Music Station on the 24th and NHK's Venue101 on the 25th. From November they will begin the Japan dome concerts of their fourth world tour, TOMORROW X TOGETHER World Tour 'ACT : TOMORROW'. Starting in Saitama on Nov. 15–16, they will elevate the status of the "stageteller" (a blend of stage and storyteller) at Aichi on Dec. 6–7 and Fukuoka on Dec. 27–28.
