Jang Young-ran recalled, "We moved to Mok-dong. I regret it now, but I sent my child to an English kindergarten. I briefly left the child at daycare and went alone," and said, "The mothers were coming down and all I could see were shoes. They were wearing only expensive shoes like Chanel and Gucci."

In the end, Jang Young-ran thought that to send her child to an English kindergarten in Mok-dong she needed at least one pair of expensive luxury shoes. She said, "So this is my first luxury shoe," and revealed a Miu Miu sneaker studded with jewels.
About her first luxury sneakers she said, "I wore them until the studs fell out.
