Comedian Park Narae, who is approaching her 20th anniversary since debut, conveyed her unchanged passion and positive energy. Park Narae, who was plunged into deep sorrow by the deaths of her grandfather and grandmother, also revealed the reason she was able to keep going.
Park Narae appeared on KBS Cool FM's Hanhae's Kiss the Radio, which aired on the night of the 21st, and with her characteristically frank and cheerful storytelling made listeners laugh.
That day DJ Hanhae asked, "It's already been a year since 'Naraesik' launched, and it's approaching 100 million cumulative views," and asked, "Is there a guest you want to invite?" In response Park Narae said, "If there are people who would come, I would be grateful to host anyone," offering a humble remark.
When Hanhae said, "I've seen you for a long time, but you're the first person I've seen who works as hard as you do on broadcasts," Park Narae candidly shared her own philosophy. She said, "If I do it sloppily, I think I'll regret it more. If I'll regret it whether I do it or not, I'd rather do it and regret it," and added, "You have to do it to the end so there are no lingering regrets."
Park Narae also revealed a unique morning routine in which she gives herself a pep talk. She said, "Every morning I look in the mirror and shout, 'Park Narae, let's go make an artwork that doesn't exist in the world today,'" drawing attention. She added, "If you ask why I don't get tired, I'm excited every day. I'm curious what will happen today. I want to keep doing fun things," and smiled.
Approaching her 20th anniversary next year, Park Narae also revealed the life philosophy that has sustained her. She said, "I've had four letters I treat like a conviction for a long time: 'if not, then forget it.' I really like that phrase," showing a positive attitude. Hanhae also said, "You have to live like that to be happy," and expressed deep agreement.
When Hanhae asked, "What is Hanhae to Park Narae?" Park Narae wittily replied, "Hanhae, Duhae, a younger sibling I want to see every year," drawing laughter. She continued, "This friend is really sweet. There is a goodness that the person gives. I really like that," expressing warm affection for Hanhae.
Hanhae prepared a surprise event for Park Narae. He revealed a voice message personally sent by SAN, a member of Park Narae's favorite group ATEEZ. SAN said, "The weather has gotten much colder lately, so please be careful of colds and I hope you are always happy," and added, "As you have cheered me on, I will cheer for you hard too." Surprised by the unexpected message, Park Narae could not hide her astonishment and joy and beamed broadly.
Meanwhile Park Narae is currently active on many variety shows including MBC's I Live Alone, Rescue Me! Homes, and tvN's Amazing Saturday, and actively communicates with fans through her YouTube content "Naraesik." Next year she is scheduled to release the new Disney+ original variety show "Fate War 49."
