A relay of support from younger artists for singer Shin Seung-hoon continues.
Shin Seung-hoon released his 12th full-length album 'SINCERELY MELODIES' on the 23rd of last month, and a vocal challenge video for one of the double title tracks, "You Are Gravity," is creating a buzz.
The "You Are Gravity" vocal challenge featured actor Yoon Hyun-min followed by singers So Su-bin, An Shin-ae, Jo Jazz, Son Seung-yeon, Ezel, Heo Yong-byeol, Yoo Chae-hoon and Jung In, among others, offering a listening treat. Shin Seung-hoon posted each artist's vocal challenge video on his own social media and added affectionate comments one by one, such as "the song takes on different colors depending on the singer" and "time brings about the completion of an incredible vocal," creating a warm atmosphere. In particular, pianist Yuki Kuramoto presented the sixth track on this full-length album, "Learning to Say Goodbye," with an emotional piano performance, delivering another resonance.
"You Are Gravity" is a song that unravels the emotions that come with the beginning and end of love and what follows, through the harmony of acoustic and electric guitars. It has been praised for capturing his musical depth intact with Shin Seung-hoon's delicate vocals.
With the comeback of his 12th full-length album 'SINCERELY MELODIES,' Shin Seung-hoon has shown a wide-ranging presence across various platforms, appearing on KBS 2TV's "Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend," The Seasons-10CM's "Petting" (The Seasons), SBS Power FM's "Escape at Two Cultwo Show," Dingo Music's "Killing Voice" and more. This is more special in that it was not a simple album release but demonstrated the power of 35 years since his debut by emphasizing live performances. Shin Seung-hoon once again proved his unique legendary status by shining on music variety programs whose main audience is people in their 20s and 30s. He delivered deep emotion by recalling the intense musical passion he has sustained for 35 years on his way to reigning as the "emperor of ballads."
Shin Seung-hoon will also appear on cable channel tvN's "You Quiz on the Block," which airs today (22nd) at 8:45 p.m. From candid stories about his musical life to sweet live stages including "I Believe," Shin Seung-hoon's stories and songs are expected to drown fans in nostalgia.
Shin Seung-hoon will hold a solo concert, "2025 THE Shin Seung-hoon SHOW 'SINCERELY 35'," on Nov. 1-2 at Olympic Hall in Seoul Olympic Park, where he will meet fans. He is expected to show his continued presence as the "emperor of ballads" with a set list composed of representative hits from his career as well as new songs.
