Lee Jae-wook, Choi Seong-eun and Kim Gun-woo form an intriguing triangle in "Last Summer."
The KBS 2TV new Saturday-Sunday miniseries Last Summer, directed by Min Yeon-hong and written by Jeon Yu-ri, which premieres Nov. 1 at 9:20 p.m., is a remodeling romance drama that unfolds as a man and woman who have been friends since childhood confront the truth of their first love hidden in Pandora's box.
Lee Jae-wook appears as the skilled architect Baek Do-ha, Choi Seong-eun as Do-ha's childhood friend and construction civil servant Song Ha-kyung of the 'Pat-an branch,' and Kim Gun-woo appears as appellate specialist lawyer Seo Su-hyeok with a 99% win rate. Currently, Ha-kyung is entangled in Do-ha's lawsuit, and Su-hyeok is Do-ha's lawyer. The episodes involving these three intertwined people are expected to provide viewing pleasure to prospective viewers.
Released today (the 22nd), stills capture Do-ha, Ha-kyung and Su-hyeok visiting an amusement park together, drawing attention. Do-ha and Su-hyeok emit a subtle tension even amid their warm visuals as they face Ha-kyung, signaling the start of a triangle. Viewers are left curious about why the three gathered at the amusement park.
Last Summer goes beyond the simple romance of three men and women, adding depth to the narrative through their complex relationships. In particular, the transformation of Do-ha and Su-hyeok—from a client-and-lawyer relationship into rivals as they engage in tense mind games over Ha-kyung—promises to add interest. In addition, the new relationship formed between Ha-kyung and Su-hyeok because of Do-ha will multiply the fun. As seen in the stills, the three deep in conversation with serious expressions heighten curiosity.
Meanwhile, Lee Jae-wook and Kim Gun-woo transform into Do-ha with chic, deep gazes and Su-hyeok with a rational, composed charm, respectively, as they approach Ha-kyung. Choi Seong-eun is also expected to perfectly portray the resolute Song Ha-kyung, skillfully expressing the complex emotions between a childhood friend and a newly arrived person.
Regarding this, the Last Summer production team said the romance, conflicts and growth of the youth that Lee Jae-wook, Choi Seong-eun and Kim Gun-woo will depict will capture viewers' hearts, and asked for much interest and anticipation for the intertwined stories of the three.
