Actor Jung Eun-pyo's wife, Ms. Kim Ha-yan, personally announced the traffic accident.
On the 21st, Ms. Kim Ha-yan posted a long message on her social media, recalling her driving experience: I am fairly good at driving. I got my license at 20, kept it in a drawer for 10 years, and after our i-dle had events I took training and started driving, so I have driven for more than a decade.
Then she explained the situation at the time of the accident: "I don't know why I changed lanes on the way to my part-time job yesterday when it wasn't urgent, why I didn't see the car beside me. In the end I hit the car beside me." She added, "Accidents happen in an instant. You unconsciously do things you don't usually do, and that immediately leads to an accident."
Ms. Kim Ha-yan said, "Fortunately no one was injured and only the car needs to be repaired, so I'm grateful," but she also expressed remorse toward her husband, Jung Eun-pyo: "There is no such thing as being good at driving. Don't forget the basics and please be careful. It's not worth risking a big accident for how much you earn at a part-time job… honey, I'm sorry."
A photo published with the post caught attention by showing a car so damaged that the inside of the bumper was exposed.
Meanwhile, Jung Eun-pyo and Ms. Kim Ha-yan married in 2002 and have two sons and one daughter. The family appeared on SBS' Star Junior Show Bung-eo-ppang and received great love, and their eldest son, Jung Ji-ung, drew attention by being admitted to Seoul National University College of Humanities through regular admission for the 2022 academic year.
