Group All Day Project member Anni has been chosen as the new face of the year-end music festival.
On the 21st, her agency, The Black Label, told OSEN, "Anni will serve as MC for MBC's year-end music festival."
The annual year-end music festival, held each Dec. 31, has for the past 10 years been anchored by Girls' Generation member Yoona, who was loved for her steady hosting and graceful presence. With Yoona stepping down after 2024, Anni, chosen as her successor, is drawing attention as she takes on her first challenge as an MC.
Before her debut, Anni drew attention as a third-generation member of the Shinsegae Group owner family, and after debuting with the mixed group All Day Project she quickly continued a hit streak with songs such as "FAMOUS" and "WICKED." While she has been noted on stage for her flashy performances and fashion sense, this will be her first time hosting a live broadcast.
A broadcasting source said, "Anni has freshness and confidence. She will show new energy on the year-opening stage of the year-end music festival," expressing expectations.
Taking over the baton from Yoona as the "national year-end MC," industry attention inside and outside is focused on what charm Anni will use to captivate viewers.
