Anna, the wife of former soccer player Park Joo-ho, participated in a run to raise breast cancer awareness. She is actively taking part in meaningful activities with her children even after battling cancer.
On the 20th, Anna released new content titled "Our Little Pink Run with KBCS" on her YouTube channel "집에서안나와."
The video showed everyday life with Park Joo-ho, Anna, and their three children Na-eun, Geon-hu and Jin-woo. They ate with friends and exercised, and the sibling duo "Jjin Geon-na-bly" were shown playing together and spending time together.
In particular, Anna drew attention by sharing the "pink run" she participated in with her husband Park Joo-ho and their three children. Anna explained, "Doctors, nurses and patients gathered at hospitals across the country and ran on different days. I couldn't run much because of the long haul. On the day our hospital running group met, I was really glad to see again the people who took care of me."
She added, "Unfortunately, our October 'pink run' registration was late. I hope we can join next year," and said, "This gathering is really energetic and bright. The children ran well together, too." Anna and her family ran wearing matching T-shirts that read "Breast Go Run," a run for breast cancer awareness and recovery.
Anna urged people to take care of their health, saying, "And the daily breast cancer awareness day. Be sure to check yourself regularly."
Anna's actions stand in contrast to an event by W Korea that promoted breast cancer awareness but whose purpose was diluted. W Korea's event, attended by top stars, drew controversy for showing guests enjoying a party in flashy dresses and luxury goods while clinking glasses. Singer Park Jae-beom was criticized for performing the song "Body," which explicitly depicted the female body, at the event.
After the run, Anna and Park Joo-ho made more memories by eating "Hangang ramen" with their children. Geon-hu, Na-eun and Jin-woo said, "We ran a marathon today so we are a bit tired, and when we're tired we have to eat ramen," and, "It was so much fun. I want to run a marathon with my family like this again. We ran a lot, so let's eat ramen again," showing their enjoyment.
Na-eun especially showed special affection for her mother, Anna. While waiting for the ramen to be prepared, she told her mother, "I always say this, but I take after you. You're pretty." Anna replied, "You are everything I have. And I am deeply grateful for all the hands and hearts that tirelessly devote themselves so we can see the children grow without a doubt." She added, "Your care and warmth have been a great strength while we fight cancer."
Park Joo-ho and Anna married in 2015 and have two sons and one daughter. They appeared on the KBS 2TV variety show "The Return of Superman" (슈퍼맨이 돌아왔다) and received much love. Later, Anna announced her cancer diagnosis in 2022 and is currently under follow-up observation and recovering.
