A full preview video of Last Summer, featuring the bickering chemistry between Lee Jae-wook and Choi Sung-eun, has been released.
KBS 2TV's new Saturday-Sunday miniseries Last Summer, directed by Min Yeon-hong and written by Jeon Yu-ri, which premieres Nov. 1 at 9:20 p.m., is a remodeling romance drama about a man and a woman who have been friends since childhood and confront the truth of a first love hidden in Pandora's box.
The full preview video released today (21) begins with Baek Do-ha (played by Lee Jae-wook) and Song Ha-kyung (played by Choi Sung-eun) dressed in mourning clothes. Ha-kyung, with a resentful look for some reason, tells Do-ha, "Let's never see each other again," hinting at an unsettling atmosphere. Time then passes and the two people who seemed unlikely to ever meet again reunite, piquing interest in their story.
Ha-kyung questions why Do-ha returned to the broken town and why he insists on living with her, while Do-ha reacts indifferently to Ha-kyung's hostility. As the fragile relationship that seems hard to mend draws attention, it is revealed that they are engaged in a lawsuit over the peanut house. Ha-kyung sent a content-certified letter, and Do-ha hired lawyer Seo Soo-hyuk (played by Kim Gun-woo) to respond, intensifying their tense showdown. Viewers will be curious why Do-ha and Ha-kyung are so obsessed with the peanut house and what the outcome of this fierce lawsuit will be.
Meanwhile, a scene follows in which Do-ha gives Ha-kyung a cohabitation contract, saying he will be in her care from now on, and their full-fledged peanut house cohabitation(?) begins. Ha-kyung peeks at Do-ha through a hole in the wall, and Do-ha, as if aware of it, asks, "Can't sleep?" Do-ha looks at Ha-kyung's predictable behavior with nothing but affection, creating a fluttering feeling.
Scenes that arouse curiosity continue, including the two happily playing yut with the villagers and Do-ha's warm gaze as he looks at Ha-kyung's bright smile. Finally, Do-ha's meaningful line to Ha-kyung, "Two years is enough to do nothing and just wait," foreshadows a seismic shift between the two, raising curiosity and anticipation for the premiere.
