BOYNEXTDOOR (BOYNEXTDOOR) successfully wrapped up its comeback showcase.
BOYNEXTDOOR (Seongho, Liu, Myeong Jaehyeon, Taesan, Ihan, Unhak) held a comeback showcase titled BOYNEXTDOOR 5th EP [The Action] COMEBACK SHOWCASE at the KBS Arena in Gangseo District, Seoul, on the 20th to commemorate the release of their fifth EP The Action. The event was streamed live on HYBE Labels' YouTube channel and the global superfan platform Weverse, and fans from 151 countries/regions including Korea, the United States, Japan and China watched on Weverse.
The comeback showcase was designed around a film concept, matching the theme of the new release promotions. It opened with an intro video parodying a film studio logo that delivered a playful tone from the start. The six members premiered the title track Hollywood Action, raising the energy. Solid live vocals and intense synchronized choreography captivated both eyes and ears. On the album track stages they showed contrasting charms. Live In Paris, which compares staying up late working to the time difference with Paris, France, created a dreamy atmosphere, and the ballad It's Like That, which depicts a lover who struggles to say goodbye, conveyed a more mature sensibility. When they sang an album track a cappella on the spot, their compelling voices and skills shone.
As a team that writes its own songs, they had plenty to say during the track introductions and behind-the-scenes explanations. They recalled, "We worked hard to make every song. We think BOYNEXTDOOR's music is more appealing when it truly reflects our stories. So we devoted ourselves to work regardless of time or place." They also brought laughter by playing a simple movie-related game.
BOYNEXTDOOR said, "ONEDOOR, the fandom, won't have to wait long—the members worked really hard to write songs so we could come back quickly. We're really happy to gift new music before the year ends. This album was crafted with great care, paying attention to every single lyric. We will continue to be a team that shows a lot through music and performance. We've prepared various activities, so please run alongside us," expressing sincere feelings. After the performance ended, the fans' loud cheers continued, and the members responded to the audience's support with an encore of three songs: I Feel Good, Hollywood Action and Earth, Wind & Fire.
Meanwhile, BOYNEXTDOOR released all tracks from the new record The Action and the music video for the title track Hollywood Action at 6 p.m. on the 20th. Hollywood Action is a song that conveys confidence like a Hollywood star, and Myeong Jaehyeon, Taesan, Ihan and Unhak participated in writing the song. At 7 p.m. on the 20th it entered Melon's realtime chart Top 100 at No. 11 and climbed to No. 2 at 12:00 a.m. on the 21st. The six members are scheduled to perform the new song on Mnet's M Countdown on the 23rd, KBS2's Music Bank on the 24th, MBC's Show! Music Core on the 25th and SBS's Inkigayo on the 26th. They will also continue promotions with appearances on Studio Choom, Limousine Service, Narae-sik and SBS Power FM's Two O'Clock Escape Cultwo Show, among others.
