On the 21st, the official social media of the yoga studio run by Lee Hyori posted students' reviews and class photos.
Among them, one student revealed a review about the gift that drew attention. The student wrote, "When I said I was going to take Ananda teacher's class, my husband said to give it as a gift and quickly made it out of walnut. He made a one-of-a-kind yoga block. Because it's solid wood and heavy like a brick, it's not a yoga block but a yoga brick. Teacher Hyori said it feels like a neck pillow."
The student also shared photos of the yoga block they gifted while taking classes at Lee Hyori's yoga studio. The carefully made block also had the name of Lee Hyori's yoga studio written on it, drawing attention. Although Lee Hyori had said she would decline gifts or sponsorships, she could not pass up the student's sincerity.
Lee Hyori currently operates a yoga studio in Yeonhui-dong, Seodaemun District, Seoul. In particular, Lee Hyori is known to teach classes herself and communicate closely with students.
Lee Hyori's yoga studio drew significant attention from its opening, and close friends such as broadcaster Yoo Jae-seok and Seo Jang-hoon gave gifts like potted plants. Afterward, Lee Hyori's side expressed the intention to politely decline all gift and sponsorship offers.
Still, last month Lee Hyori posted, "On days when I went to practice without even a hair tie, the teacher would always have a hair tie somewhere and hand it to me. When there wasn't even that, the teacher would take the rubber band from their own hair… Seeing the heartfelt gift I received yesterday, I thought of the teacher this morning," and revealed a black hair tie she received from a student. A gift that felt like thoughtfulness rather than its price turned Lee Hyori's heart.
Because this gift was also made lovingly by the student's family, Lee Hyori appears to have been moved as well.
