Bon Appetit, Your Majesty team will go on an incentive leave thanks to its popularity.
On Oct. 20 a representative of the tvN drama Bon Appetit, Your Majesty told OSEN the Bon Appetit, Your Majesty team will go on an incentive leave. However, they added, "Please understand that we cannot provide details such as the schedule and location for safety reasons."
Bon Appetit, Your Majesty is a romantic comedy drama that tells the story of French chef Yeon Ji-young (Im Yoon-ah), who finds herself suddenly transported to the Joseon era and meets King Lee Heon (Lee Chae-min), the worst tyrant and the greatest gourmet. The final episode, episode 12, which aired Sept. 28, recorded a nationwide peak rating of 17.1% (Nielsen Korea, pay TV households) and concluded successfully.
In particular, the drama made headlines overseas as the first tvN broadcast work to top Netflix's global non-English TV show chart for two consecutive weeks. Riding that momentum, the incentive leave was decided. At the wrap party the lead Im Yoon-ah shouted, "Let's go on an incentive leave!" which has now come true, creating a heartwarming moment.
According to broadcasting officials, the incentive leave will take place in Vietnam from Oct. 21 to Oct. 24. Most of the cast and production team will participate, including the lead couple Lee Chae-min and Im Yoon-ah. However, Lee Chae-min is scheduled to hold fan meetings in Seoul on Oct. 24 and Oct. 25, so he will attend only part of the schedule and return home early.
