Singer Ryu Philip's older sister Park Suji denied reports of a rift with her brother and his wife and expressed gratitude toward Mina. She publicly conveyed her appreciation, saying Mina helped her financially during difficult times.
Park Suji posted a long message on her social media on Oct. 19, sharing her thoughts and feelings about Mina, who is Ryu Philip's wife. She said she wanted to correct misunderstandings about them.
First, Park Suji opened by saying, "I was too late, but I did not understand the expression in the comment precisely, and I took its meaning differently. Because I misread the nuance in Korean, my reply could have been interpreted in another way, and I am truly sorry."
She continued, "I had no intention of targeting Mina unnie or blaming anyone. On the contrary, I have only gratitude toward Mina unnie, who helped me. My insufficient understanding of the language caused misunderstandings and anxiety, and I only feel sorry to Mina unnie. Please do not misunderstand Mina unnie. Blame my foolishness," asking people not to misunderstand Mina.
Then Park Suji said, "Today I really want to say this. The reason I could endure this long was because there was someone who quietly supported and believed in me at my side. That person is Mina unnie. Unnie always saw me as pretty. When I decided to lose weight, she helped me so I would not give up, exercised with me, and said, 'Suji nuna is more than enough of a wonderful person.' I don't know how many days I endured because of that one phrase. Because unnie believed in me at my side, I was able to change."
Mina also gave Park Suji financial help. Park Suji said, "And during the times when life was hard, unnie helped me without saying anything. Offering financial help and comforting my heart — all of that was such a great gift to me. It wasn't just simple help but sincerity," and added, "Above all, what I am grateful for is that even during the period when the world misunderstood me, malicious comments were posted, and many words were exchanged, unnie never once hated me."
Park Suji said of Mina, "Unnie always said only good things and looked at me with a beautiful heart. That kindness saved me and made me who I am today. I wanted to let the world know this feeling. How warm a person unnie is, how sincerely she cherished me," and added, "So I want to say this publicly. "Mina unnie, I am truly grateful." Thank you for helping me lose weight, thank you for helping me financially, and above all, thank you so much for believing in me until the end no matter what the world said. I will never forget unnie's faith and love for the rest of my life. Truly, thank you. I will live my life in gratitude."
Park Suji said, "Now I will try to stand on my own. Carrying the faith and courage unnie taught me, I will try to move forward step by step on my own. So that unnie's heart is not in vain, I will repay her with a stronger, more grown version of myself."
Earlier, with the help of Mina and Ryu Philip, Park Suji attracted attention by reducing her weight from nearly 150 kilograms to the 70-kilogram range through diet and exercise. But recently reports of a rift with the couple surfaced, and Ryu Philip said on his channel that "the project ended because my sister said she wanted to quit," adding that they helped with exercise and provided financial support without any coercion.

Above all, what I am grateful for is that even during the period when the world misunderstood me, malicious comments were posted, and many words were exchanged, unnie never once hated me. Rather, "I know Suji nuna. It's okay." That one phrase was such a great comfort.
Unnie always said only good things and looked at me with a beautiful heart. That kindness saved me and made me who I am today. I wanted to let the world know this feeling. How warm a person unnie is, how sincerely she cherished me.

Mina unnie, thank you for always treating me kindly and saying only good things. I will never forget unnie's sincerity for the rest of my life. I am truly grateful, and I sincerely love you. I hope Mina unnie's sincerity and warm heart are conveyed to more people.
