Lee Young-ae, Kim Young-kwang and Park Yong-woo ultimately faced a catastrophe stained with blood.
On the 10th episode of KBS 2TV weekend mini-series Walking On Thin Ice (directed by Song Hyun-wook, written by Jeon Young-shin), which aired on the 19th, Kang Eun-su (played by Lee Young-ae), who awakened to protect her family, Lee Kyung (played by Kim Young-kwang), who tries to break the decade-long cycle of revenge, and Jang Tae-gu (played by Park Yong-woo), who stands at the center of all evil deeds, collided head-on, staining the relationships among the three with blood.
In yesterday's broadcast, Lee Kyung, who visited Eun-su's house, witnessed Park Do-jin (played by Bae Soo-bin) find drugs in a car. Do-jin resented Lee Kyung, who had asked him for drugs, and a violent struggle broke out. At that moment, a call came from Park Soo-ah (played by Kim Si-a), who had been abducted by Hwang Jun-hyun (played by Son Bo-seung), and Lee Kyung rushed straight to the scene on behalf of Do-jin, whose condition had worsened.
When Jun-hyun was about to harm Soo-ah, Choi Kyung-do (played by Kwon Ji-woo), who had been pursuing him, appeared and had viewers on the edge of their seats. Kyung-do rescued Soo-ah after a fierce fight with Jun-hyun, and Lee Kyung, who arrived shortly after, threw himself into the fray. With Kyung-do's help, Lee Kyung barely subdued Jun-hyun, but a panic-stricken Soo-ah ran and encountered Tae-gu, who arrested her and handed her over to the police.
Meanwhile, Eun-su completed a final transaction at Hwirim's villa and walked away with a large sum of money, but was shaken when she learned that Soo-ah was in danger. While investigating Soo-ah, Tae-gu mocked Eun-su, asking, "Who made a child like you do this and gave you the money?" He also summoned Eun-su to the interrogation room and tightened the screws on her life, saying, "I will destroy everything you love."
Lee Kyung visited Eun-su, who had faced all the truth, and revealed a murder plan, saying, "Jang Tae-gu was the one who killed Dong-hyun. Now we must finish him." With nowhere left to retreat, Eun-su and Lee Kyung joined hands again and planned to make Tae-gu disappear forever. But Tae-gu, who had already been eavesdropping on the two, even bribed the currency exchange employee Lee Kyung had contacted in advance and trapped the pair.
Eun-su headed to a sparsely populated field with the money she lured Tae-gu with and the remaining drugs. The confrontation between Tae-gu, who waited for Eun-su at the promised location, and Lee Kyung, who was hiding secretly, delivered intense thrills. When the currency exchange employees who were supposed to kidnap Tae-gu did not show up, Lee Kyung faced Tae-gu directly. As if waiting for the moment, Tae-gu fired at Lee Kyung's foot, and Lee Kyung and Eun-su's plan, of which they had no inkling of his intentions, evaporated like bubbles.
At the end of the broadcast, Lee Kyung, who resisted desperately against Tae-gu, helped Eun-su escape the scene. During the back-and-forth struggle, Tae-gu aimed his gun at Lee Kyung, and at that moment, Eun-su's car charged toward the two from the darkness. In the split second Tae-gu fired at Lee Kyung, the ending in which Eun-su's car ran him over sent shivers through viewers.
