MBN's 'Welcome to Jjinine' stars Park Seojin and Jin Haesung shared their excited feelings ahead of their first solo variety show appearances in their lives.
The Oct. 20 (today) premiere of MBN's 'Welcome to Jjinine' is a food healing variety show in which King of Singers 2 winner Park Seojin and runner-up Jin Haesung, who won the hearts of the nation, repay the love they received by becoming food truck owners. The two travel across the Incheon Ganghwa Island area, a representative island city of Korea, and together with the "Culinary Class Wars" star chef corps develop unique menus using local specialties and deliver song gifts, offering special emotional moments.
In this regard, the protagonists of 'Welcome to Jjinine,' Park Seojin and Jin Haesung, candidly shared their impressions and resolutions after completing their first shoot, hinting at the amplified activities to come from the two.
First, Park Seojin, who will transform from King of Singers 2 king to a 'yosek-nam' (handsome man who cooks), left a chaotic yet heartfelt review of the first shoot: "I realized that preparing a single dish really requires a lot of hands-on work. Preparing the food was difficult, but seeing customers enjoying it made me proud." He also expressed a lively resolve: "Because it was our first service, things were hectic and I regret not having many conversations with customers. I'll do better next time. Fighting!"
Jin Haesung, known as a 'K-bulnavang' and the 'Jjinine homemaker,' recalled the difficult but rewarding first shoot: "There were so many things to worry about and I was really concerned that many customers would come. Still, I felt reassured because Seojin and the chefs were with me." He added a charming plea to watch the broadcast: "It was truly rewarding to see the food go out to the tables and customers enjoying it. Please continue to show lots of love for our 'Welcome to Jjinine.'"
Meanwhile, the show's first menu, the "Highly recommended lunchbox," exploded with an insane response and drew attention. The "Highly recommended lunchbox," the product of chef Kim Miryeong's special omakase recipe and the true labor of the "real brothers" Park Seojin and Jin Haesung, received a flood of praise from customers for its fantastic taste. In addition, Park Seojin and Jin Haesung held a mini concert to deliver song gifts to customers, offered self-photo moments that would leave happy memories, performed a radish dance that triggered bursts of laughter, and completed a full-course service that delivered five-star satisfaction. Moreover, in the first episode curiosity rises as a lively party breaks out when a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law conflict is resolved on Park Seojin's stage and the mother-in-law gets up to dance.
The production team said, "'Welcome to Jjinine' shows the epitome of kind-hearted entertainment, with Park Seojin and Jin Haesung working hard and sweating on their feet, far from celebrities' lavish lifestyles on some variety shows. 'Welcome to Jjinine,' run together with Lotte Group to revitalize rural economies and promote coexistence, is packed with diverse charms, from mouthwatering local specialty dishes to the long-standing chemistry of 14-year friends Park Seojin and Jin Haesung, and performances that are a treat for the ears. We hope viewers can blow away their Monday blues while watching."
