Actor Park Jin-joo is getting married. The news draws more attention as it comes five months after leaving 'Hangout with Yoo?'.
On the morning of Oct. 20, agency PREAIN TPC said in an official statement, "On Nov. 30 actor Park Jin-joo will promise to share her life with someone with whom she has built deep trust over a long period."
According to the agency, Park Jin-joo's fiancé is not in the entertainment industry. Out of consideration, the ceremony will be held privately in a location in Seoul with only families from both sides and close acquaintances invited.
Above all, Park Jin-joo plans to continue actively working as an actress after her marriage. She is currently preparing for performances of the musical And the Number.
Park Jin-joo debuted in 2011 with the film Sunny. From her debut she naturally delivered sharp comic acting and later appeared as a supporting actor in numerous dramas. In particular, she gained recognition for her presence by playing a nurse in the drama Jealousy and receiving praise for her natural everyday acting.
Park Jin-joo, who has singing ability on par with singers, showcased her vocal skills on MBC entertainment programs Masked Singer and 'Hangout with Yoo?'. Riding that momentum, she expanded into musical theater and recently joined the 10th anniversary performances of the Korean original musical Maybe Happy Ending, which drew attention after winning six awards at the 78th Tony Awards. She was also invited as the only Korean guest to the Disney Princess Concert "Princess All Stars in Concert."
In particular, Park Jin-joo was chosen as a regular member of 'Hangout with Yoo?' and also showed her talents in variety shows. She also performed as part of the JooJoo Sisters with Lee Mi-joo, a former member of the girl group Lovelyz.
However, she left 'Hangout with Yoo?' together with Lee Mi-joo in May. At the time, production told OSEN that after long discussions with cast and staff since the beginning of this year to change the program, they decided on the departures of Park Jin-joo and Lee Mi-joo.
