Darkbeee (Lee Chan, D1, GK, Hee-chan, Rune, Junseo, Yuku, Haerijun) of Brave Entertainment drew attention by releasing videos on their official YouTube channel and social media on Oct. 17 and today (Oct. 20) showing the choreography creation process and spoilers.
In the "Footage practice room" video released on Oct. 17, Darkbeee members attracted attention as it captured the process of completing the performance for the new song. The video showed solid teamwork, including members moving in unison and concentrating under leader D1's teaching and gathering each other's opinions to gradually complete the group choreography, heightening anticipation for the full performance.
In the "Footage spoiler" video released today (Oct. 20), the introduction and part of the performance of the new song "Irony" were revealed. Darkbeee members previewed upgraded musicality and performance through sharp group choreography that showcased their signature intense energy and attention to detail befitting "performance artisans."
Darkbeee's ninth mini album Emotion is an album that explores the theme of love in Darkbeee's own music, covering ironic excitement, irresistible temptation, freedom and liberation, intense romance, and both breakup and beginning. The members participated directly in lyrics, composition and overall choreography, conveying more honest emotions and individuality.
The title track "Irony" is a pop-rock song highlighted by an addictive guitar riff that captures moments when a lover's actions feel ambiguously "love or a joke." It powerfully expresses sweet but confusing emotions and reveals a new charm of Darkbeee.
Meanwhile, Darkbeee, which has been accelerating its comeback by continuously releasing teaser content, will officially release the ninth mini album Emotion at 6 p.m. Oct. 23 on various online music sites and offline.
