Actor Lee Yi-kyung is at the center of a rapidly spreading online exposé, fueling growing controversy. His agency has vowed strong legal action, saying, "This is completely untrue." Netizens have shown mixed reactions.
Recently, some online communities and social media posts included a captured message alleging Lee Yi-kyung made inappropriate remarks to a woman. The image contained explicit content mentioning body parts and shocked viewers, prompting split reactions among netizens such as "Could this be true?" and "Could it be doctored?" as debate over its authenticity intensified.
Especially as fans of Lee Yi-kyung expressed considerable confusion, his agency, Sangyoung ENT, issued an official statement on the 20th.
The agency strongly denied the allegations, saying, "The content spreading online is clearly false, and we are preparing legal measures for damages caused by malicious rumors." It added, "We recognize the seriousness of this matter and will calculate direct and indirect damages from the dissemination of false information and pursue all legal responses," warning that baseless postings or shares could also be subject to legal action.
However, Lee Yi-kyung's personal social media accounts are currently flooded with comments showing heated reactions. Some fans wrote, "Oppa, is this true?" and "Please say it's not true," expressing disbelief, while other users urged caution, saying, "The facts must be clarified."
The agency added, "We will do our best to protect the artist through fan reports and continuous monitoring," appealing to stop the secondary damage caused by the spread of false rumors. Since the agency emphasized that the claims are "clearly false," attention is focused on what evidence it will present to prove that and quell the controversy.
Meanwhile, Lee Yi-kyung is an actor who has recently enjoyed great popularity for his active appearances on variety shows such as MBC's "Hangout with Yoo?" and ENA·SBS Plus's "I'm SOLO."
