Amid widespread sorrow, a scene showed Bae Jung-nam saying goodbye to Belle. Bae Jung-nam cried out, "Wake up, are you awake?" in a way that broke the hearts of onlookers. He repeatedly said, "I'm sorry, I wished I could have stayed a little longer," and "Belle, you worked hard," sobbing. Like a lie, the moment of parting with Belle, who had been his only family. Belle was that much more special to Bae Jung-nam.
Seo Jang-hoon said, "I heard he received the news while filming a drama," and added, "He had left Belle at a rehabilitation center and was far away so he couldn't see her in person. The director connected by video call and he received the news that way," relaying the information.
The rehabilitation center director said, "Belle seemed fine in the morning," and continued, "She even basked in the sun, then suddenly stood up, took five steps and collapsed," describing how Belle suddenly fell to the side at that time.
The rehabilitation center director said, "Usually with CPR breathing should return in 3 to 5 minutes, so we immediately connected a video call (to Bae Jung-nam)," and recounted the moment they had to show Belle by video call because of drama filming. The director comforted, "Still, Belle probably heard her dad's voice through the video call and went peacefully, so Belle likely left happily," and Bae Jung-nam, tearing up, said, "I hung up and left right away... I've never cried like that in my life."
Bae Jung-nam said, "My chest is burning, it feels like my heart is disappearing," and added, "The relief is that she didn't suffer and didn't die in pain." He said she had been living peacefully and left after eating well. Bae Jung-nam repeated, "If she had suffered it would have broken my heart," and said again, "Be well with your friends. Dad will be fine too."
But Bae Jung-nam collapsed again in front of Belle's favorite squeaky toy. Facing the permanent parting and unable to hold himself together, he decided to give Belle, who crossed the rainbow bridge, one last gift. Bae Jung-nam showed tears and said, "Play with it over there too. I'm sorry I couldn't protect you at the end."
