Actor Choi Woo-sik conveyed the unchanging friendship of his close-knit group 'Uga Fam' and immediately dismissed recent rumors of discord.
In the YouTube channel Yojung Jaehyung video released on the 19th titled This video onward I, Choi Woo-sik, am a sex symbol, Choi Woo-sik was asked during a conversation with broadcaster Jung Jae-hyung, "Do you meet your friends (Uga Fam) often these days?" He smiled and said, "Everyone is so busy that it's not easy to meet. Still, I'm proud that each of us is doing so well in our own places," adding, "We don't see each other often these days, but we always keep in touch."
When Jung Jae-hyung jokingly asked, "What was that group name again, Buga-mi?" Choi Woo-sik laughed and said, "It's Uga Fam. It wasn't originally an official group, but the name naturally came about." He added, "As people introduced one another, we naturally became close, and now we really are like family."
Uga Fam is short for "our family family," and is a representative close-knit group in the entertainment industry made up of five members including BTS' V, actors Park Seo Jun, Park Hyung-sik, Pickboy, and Choi Woo-sik.
Recently, when V posted a video on his SNS of him walking along the Han River in the rain with Park Seo Jun and Park Hyung-sik, some speculated that the three might have met without the others and suggested discord within Uga Fam. But as Choi Woo-sik mentioned, this appears to have been a simple misunderstanding. He is currently filming a new drama, and due to his busy schedule he couldn't be present, but the friendship still seems firmly intact.
Uga Fam's friendship remains strong. In June, a photo of all five members gathered to celebrate V's discharge proved this. V posted a group photo on his SNS with the caption "Thanks♥," and in the photo the five people stood around V wearing group T-shirts with the phrase "welcome" printed on them.
Notably, the T-shirts featured the phrase "We're still OO, right?" and the response "We are still OO!" which playfully expressed their unchanged friendship. Park Seo Jun also shared the same photo with the caption King is back to show his affection for V. Netizens responded with supportive messages such as "This is what true friendship is," "Calling this a feud over not seeing each other because of schedules is absurd," "Uga Fam is forever," and "Friendship forever, Uga Fam forever♥."
V enlisted in December last year and completed his service at the Army's 2nd Corps military police special duty unit, and he was honorably discharged on the 10th. With Uga Fam members gathering to celebrate V's return, their friendship shone even more brightly.
In the end, the recent "rumors of discord" were just a happening. Despite busy schedules, Uga Fam maintains close loyalty by looking after each other's daily lives, and they still elicit warm smiles from fans as the entertainment industry's representative close-knit crew.
