Bon Appetit, Your Majesty actress Im Yoon-ah (signed to SME), who is set to take a reward vacation in Vietnam, met fans first.
Im Yoon-ah held the "Bon Appétit, Your Majesty YOONA drama fanmeeting" ("Bon Appetit, Your Majesty" Yoona drama fanmeeting) on Oct. 18 at NGUYEN DU GYMNASIUM in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, completing another memory with fans.
The fanmeeting was arranged so Im Yoon-ah, who played French chef "Yeon Ji-young" in the tvN weekend drama "Bon Appetit, Your Majesty," which ended last month, could share the fun and lingering feelings of the work with fans. Upon appearing, Im Yoon-ah drew fervent cheers and showed the presence befitting a "global queen."
In particular, Im Yoon-ah answered fans' various questions directly about the preparation process for the work, the filming site and episodes about the character, candidly sharing behind-the-scenes stories that could only be heard at the fanmeeting, drawing attention.
Above all, she moved the audience by performing the "Bon Appetit, Your Majesty" OST "Beyond Time to You" with a delicate yet soft voice, and raised the fun with a special event in which she made a Vietnamese-style shaved ice dessert on stage and gave it to a winning fan.
In response, fans came in a variety of outfits from chef uniforms to master chef uniforms, hanbok, and Yeon Ji-young's signature costume from the drama, heating up the atmosphere, and added warm emotion with a slogan event that read "Yeonmoing Yoona, if you read this, remember to always be happy."
On the day, Im Yoon-ah said, "It feels like I haven't been to Vietnam in a long time, but thank you from the bottom of my heart for cheering and loving me from afar; it seems we were able to have this opportunity to meet." She added, "I'll show various activities in the future, so if you continue to cheer like this, I'll run over to greet you," and she wrapped up with her solo song "Spring on the Deoksugung Stonewall Road (Feat. 10cm)," promising fans a next time.
Thanks to Im Yoon-ah's performance, "Bon Appetit, Your Majesty" recorded ratings of 17.4% in the Seoul metropolitan area and a peak of 20%, and 17.1% nationwide with a peak of 19.4% for the finale (Nielsen Korea), and it drew enthusiastic reactions at home and abroad by ranking No. 1 for two consecutive weeks in the Netflix global TOP10 TV (non-English) category.
As proof of that popularity, after finishing the "Bon Appétit, Your Majesty YOONA drama fanmeeting" in Yokohama, Macau and Ho Chi Minh, Im Yoon-ah confirmed an additional Bangkok performance on Dec. 13 following the Taipei show scheduled for Nov. 23, sharing the work's lingering feelings through the end of the year.<
