MBC has confirmed the premiere date for its new variety show "극한84" by releasing a teaser video.
On Oct. 20, MBC released a teaser for the new variety show "극한84" and said it will premiere on Nov. 30.
"극한84" is an ultra-extreme running project that depicts Kian84 throwing himself into an unimaginably extreme course exceeding 42.195km, testing himself in an extreme marathon environment and challenging himself to the end. Expectations are growing that Kian84 will take the praised "Running 84" performances he delivered on MBC flagship variety show I Live Alone and push them to the extreme.
The released teaser features Kian84 running alone through vast nature. Gasping for breath as he runs endlessly, Kian84 utters a self-deprecating line: "Why did I say I would do this?" The extreme situation and pain he faces come through intact, creating a suffocating tension even for viewers.
In particular, this teaser overwhelms the viewer with majestic visuals and sound reminiscent of a movie trailer. In a single short teaser, the "challenge to human limits" is powerfully compressed, heightening anticipation for the realistic survival journey that "극한84" will portray.
"극한84" is a franchise project that expands the rainbow universe of I Live Alone, capturing another chapter in Kian84's story as it expands from "everyday challenges" to a "journey toward human limits." It will present a real challenge story that goes beyond simple running to one completed by endurance, perseverance and a battle with oneself.
