BOYNEXTDOOR returns with a new album, The Action, that blends bold charm.
BOYNEXTDOOR (Seongho, Liu, Myung Jae-hyun, Taesan, Lee Han, Unhak) today (20th) at 6 p.m. releases the mini fifth album The Action and the music video for the title track Hollywood Action. The six members put their desire for growth and their ambition to become "a better me" into the new record. They participated in the production of every track, channeling the team's personality into music that aims squarely at listeners' hearts.

The vivid lyrics BOYNEXTDOOR wrote themselves shine again on this release. You can hear various stories of willingly taking on challenges and acting. They explore the pain of creation ("Live In Paris"), exchange musical rapport with friends ("JAM!"), vent about confusion in a romantic relationship ("Bathroom"), and portray the moment racing toward a breakup ("You Know") through songs with different atmospheres. You can also see the team's enhanced production capabilities. In addition to Myung Jae-hyun, Taesan and Unhak, who have consistently worked on songs, Lee Han is credited on the title track. BOYNEXTDOOR has recorded a career high with each album, maintaining a steep upward trend. They achieved back-to-back million-selling records with mini third album 19.99 and mini fourth album No Genre, and No Genre recorded first-week sales (one week from release date) of 1,166,419 copies, about a 54% increase from the previous release's first-week sales (759,156). Their songs, both title tracks and B-sides, also charted widely, helping them emerge as a streaming powerhouse.
Their global expansion is also notable. All four mini albums BOYNEXTDOOR has released so far have entered the U.S. Billboard main albums chart, the Billboard 200. After successfully completing their first solo tour, BOYNEXTDOOR TOUR "KNOCK ON Vol.1," with 23 performances in 13 cities this summer, they performed at Lollapalooza Chicago, showcasing a deepening presence in the global music market. Meanwhile, BOYNEXTDOOR will hold the BOYNEXTDOOR 5th EP [The Action] COMEBACK SHOWCASE at KBS Arena in Gangseo District, Seoul, at 8 p.m. on the 20th, the day the album is released. Following that, they plan to appear on Mnet's M Countdown on the 23rd, KBS2's Music Bank on the 24th, MBC's Show! Music Core on the 25th and SBS's Inkigayo on the 26th to perform "Hollywood Action."
