"Rookie coach Kim Yeon-gyeong" Wonder Dox faced off against Japan's top high school volleyball team, Shujitsu High School.
On the 19th episode of MBC Sunday variety show "Rookie coach Kim Yeon-gyeong," Kim Yeon-gyeong's Wonder Dox faced Shujitsu High School. After going to the Inter-High to analyze Shujitsu High School's lineup, Kim Yeon-gyeong wore a somewhat confident expression.
Wonder Dox, which had been slightly overwhelmed by the early momentum, won the first set. Entering the second set, captain Pyo Seung-ju said, "We have to push harder. Even if I do consecutive hits, their defense covers everything, right? So hit it hard," and added, "In a Korea-Japan match, I think we absolutely have to win."
They did not back down in the second set either. Kim Yeon-gyeong and Pyo Seung-ju were serious about the Korea-Japan match, and the setters who were weak last week were flying around on the court.
After losing the first two sets, Shujitsu High School's timeout turned the room into an icebox. Coach Nishihata sharply criticized the students, saying, "Are your heads attached? The weakness is left and right," freezing them with his cold critique.
