Lee Soo-yeon of Trot powerhouse Total Set lifted her second Unforgettable Songs trophy.
Lee Soo-yeon appeared on KBS2's Unforgettable Songs Nam Jin special aired the afternoon of Oct. 18. Having previously won an episode with Jang Min-ho's "Do You Know My Name" and surpassed 6 million views on YouTube, showing impressive activity, Lee Soo-yeon on this day performed with Hwang Min-ho as a duo.
To stop Park Min-su's three-win sweep, Lee Soo-yeon and Hwang Min-ho, who performed at the end of part one, chose Nam Jin's hit "Partner." The two, who challenged themselves with dance trot that day, revealed they attempted a bold move by inserting a dance break and showed their desire to win.
Lee Soo-yeon and Hwang Min-ho raised excitement with powerful vocals and stage manners that dominated the stage, delivering a couple dance that felt perfectly in sync and group dance performances with the dancers. In particular, they presented retro dance through a mid-stage dance break, completing a stage that all generations could enjoy, and concluded with a powerful high note finale.
Nam Jin explained that "'Partner' is the opening song of the 60th anniversary performance. As a singer cannot exist without fans, I wanted to express my gratitude to the fans who are closest to me," and Lee Soo-yeon and Hwang Min-ho lifted the part one winner's trophy.
Having claimed the Unforgettable Songs trophy again following last year, Lee Soo-yeon proved she is the "nation's granddaughter," possessing not only lovable charm but also talent, leaving another strong impression as a promising artist to carry trot's future.<
