Dingo Music apologized for using past photos of the group Highlight that included former member Yong Junhyung.
Dingo Music posted an apology on its official social media on Oct. 18. It officially apologized for using past photos that included former member Yong Junhyung during the introduction of Highlight among the performers in the opening video of the "Killing Voice" concert held that day.
Regarding this, Dingo Music said, "An error occurred in which an image that included a member who had already left the team was displayed during the process of introducing Highlight's lineup." It added, "This was an obvious mistake by Dingo Music, which oversaw the production of the concert, and we deeply apologize for broadcasting the video without undergoing sufficient review in advance. Above all, we sincerely apologize for causing deep hurt and discomfort to Highlight members, the agency and the fans."
It also said, "Although the production schedule for this video was tight on the day of the concert, we know that no circumstances can absolve us of responsibility. As the party that produced and released the content, all responsibility lies with Dingo Music," and added, "We take this matter very seriously and will strengthen the review and approval procedures for artist-related materials in all production processes to prevent similar incidents from happening again."
Highlight is the successor to Beast, which debuted in 2009. Originally, Beast was a six-member group led by Yoon Dujun that included Lee Gikwang, Yang Yoseob, Son Dongwoon, Jang Hyunseung and Yong Junhyung. However, after leaving former agency CUBE Entertainment, they reformed as the five-member Highlight excluding Jang Hyunseung.
In 2019, amid heated controversy over singer Jung Joonhyung's illicit videos and the Burning Sun gate, Yong Junhyung was revealed to have received illicit videos from Jung Joonhyung and subsequently left the group amid the scandal. Yong Junhyung faced further criticism as he was questioned by police as a reference person in that case.
Meanwhile, during the 2025 Dingo Music concert "Killing Voice," Dingo Music used past photos that included Yong Junhyung while introducing Highlight among the performers. The incident has drawn sharp criticism, with some saying the sloppy preparation suggests a deliberate mistake.
