My Little Old Boy's Bae Jeong-nam burst into tears as he suddenly said goodbye to Bell, the pet dog who was his only family.
On Oct. 19, SBS' My Little Old Boy aired, and the moment when Bae Jeong-nam said farewell to Bell, who recently crossed the rainbow bridge, was revealed.
Bae Jeong-nam, choking back tears, said, "You could have lived longer. What did I do? If you leave like this, it's unfair," which evoked sadness. Bell was Bae Jeong-nam's one and only family in the world.
In particular, Bell had once been diagnosed with total paralysis from an acute disc condition, but after Bae Jeong-nam's devoted care and love, Bell miraculously recovered after a grueling 1 year and 7 months of rehabilitation, making the loss even more heartbreaking. At the moment when they had overcome hard times and dreamed of happiness, Bell suddenly passed away.
Bae Jeong-nam held the cold, lifeless Bell and stroked Bell's face and whole body, saying, "It's over. Wake up. I'm sorry." He also gently closed Bell's eyes, which he had not noticed were closed until the end, and whispered softly, "Close your eyes," a scene that left viewers with heavy hearts.
In the end, Bae Jeong-nam cried out, "Stay just a little longer. You worked hard," and the cast members watching the scene in the studio (the Movengers) also shed tears and shared in the sorrow.
