Chef TripleStar (real name Kang Seung-won) was cleared by police of allegations that he embezzled restaurant funds.
On the 19th, police said the Seoul Gangnam Police Station in early last month decided not to indict TripleStar on charges of embezzlement in the course of his duties.
The Gangnam Police Station had launched an investigation after a complaint from an internet user filed through the National Service Portal alleging that in November last year TripleStar's ex-wife claimed he diverted some of the restaurant funds he was operating.
TripleStar gained attention after finishing third on the Netflix cooking survival program "Culinary Class Wars," which aired in September last year, but he suspended outside activities after the allegation arose.
