Actor Jeon So-min returns to Running Man about two years after leaving the show.
Jeon So-min appears as a guest on today's (19th) broadcast of SBS Sunday Is Fun-Running Man (hereafter Running Man).
During a recent recording, the members gathered at a beach in Incheon. Through the group, some people appeared riding four-wheeled ATVs kicking up sand, and the one behind the wheel was Jeon So-min.
Making her return after about nine months, she appeared in a striking leopard look, reclaimed the seat next to Yang Se-chan as if announcing the comeback of the "love frog," and reportedly marked a flashy comeback with the strong line, "I came to make money."
Earlier, Jeon So-min left Running Man in November 2023 after roughly six years and seven months with the show. Loved for her quirky, lively charm that contrasted with her cute appearance and nicknamed with various monikers such as Dolsomin and Jeon Sobari, she decided to leave to focus on her main career in acting.
She will return to Running Man after a long absence to perform with the members. This fills the vacancy left by Ji Ye-eun, who recently suspended activities due to health issues.
In August, Ji Ye-eun's agency CP Entertainment said in August, "Ji Ye-eun will focus on restoring her health starting in September by taking care of her condition. We will provide all necessary support so the actor can take sufficient rest and return," announcing a temporary halt to her activities.
Accordingly, Ji Ye-eun decided to take a three-week break from recording for the SBS variety show Running Man, where she was a regular. Regarding this, Yoo Jae-suk said on the Running Man broadcast on the 12th, "I know Ye-eun's issue is related to burnout, but that's not the case. She is currently receiving brief treatment."
However, the specific diagnosis was not disclosed; it was reported that Ji Ye-eun felt unwell, visited a hospital, and discovered she had decreased thyroid function, leading her to temporarily suspend activities.
On the 14th it was reported that Ji Ye-eun suspended activities due to decreased thyroid function. In response, CP Entertainment told OSEN, "Please understand that it is difficult to confirm personal medical information precisely," expressing a cautious position.
