'Amazing Saturday' saw fifth-generation idols' valiant efforts.
The March 18 episode of tvN variety show 'Amazing Saturday' (hereinafter "Amazing Sat") revealed the first installment of the jewelry special. Boom shouted the opening, saying, "Today's Amazing Sat is the Amazing Sat jewelry box special," and Shin Dong-yup, showing off a printed T-shirt, joked, "Later a prince and three princesses are coming, so I paid 500,000 won to make clothes," prompting Hanhae to douse the mood by saying, "I was scammed."
Today's guests were Boys Next Door's Myung Jae-hyun, ILLIT's Won-hee, IZNA's Bang Ji-min, and Hearts2Hearts' IAAN. They each appeared wearing outfits that signify flamboyant jewels. Specially, Won-hee wore a black dress with a thick velvet headband, Bang Ji-min appeared in a pink dress with a princess crown, and IAAN from Hearts2Hearts showcased an upstyle with a parting, presenting a vibe similar to senior Taeyeon.
Boom asked, "You are all in your first year since debut. Our Amazing Sat is in its seventh year — are there seniors you want to emulate?" Myung Jae-hyun said, "I look up to senior P.O. Whenever senior P.O calls, he tells me, 'You shouldn't be doing this lately.'" Myung Jae-hyun added P.O's encouragement, saying, "Keep moving forward" and "work harder." P.O said, "You should carry a tiger in your heart as you move forward." Then Key retorted, "Mind your own business."
Myung Jae-hyun declared, "I'm a broadcasting-time monster, so I'll make sure to secure my share," expressing his ambition. With a cute face, Won-hee said, "I'm fasting today. I'll try hard in the appetizer game," offering an eccentric yet distinctive aspiration.
Won-hee said, "I am Moon Se-yoon," and added, "What I want to learn is how to smoothly get through unavoidable on-air yawns and things like blood sugar spikes." Awkward but making an effort to promote their new songs and show variety skills, the DoReMi members warmly supported them by smoothly picking up their lines.
In the appetizer game, Won-hee displayed a tremendous vocal power as if they really wanted to get the answer right. Boom marveled, "When Won-hee gets excited, it sounds like a pterosaur," and Taeyeon repeatedly smiled, finding this junior endearing.
Their new song promotion also depended on success in the snack game. In short, it was a paid game. The Amazing Sat members, for the guests' sake, finally began answering questions one by one. Though anxious, Myung Jae-hyun, Won-hee, and Bang Ji-min answered correctly in that order.
Only IAAN from Hearts2Hearts remained. IAAN could not hide the anxiety. Then a snack name clue came out as 'ㄷㄹㅌㅅ', and Key shouted, "IAAN!" IAAN calmly got the answer right, then flew to the center stage and performed powerful dances highlighting their long limbs, drawing cheers.
