Bae Jung-nam learned during a drama shoot that Bel, who had endured hard times such as acute disc disease and rehabilitation and had dreamed of happiness, suddenly passed away, and he rushed over, unable to hide his grief.
Bae Jung-nam hugged the cold body of Bel and stroked his face and whole body, saying, "It's over. Wake up. I'm sorry." He choked, "You could have lived a little longer. What did we do? If you leave like this, it's unfair," and, closing Bel's eyes himself because Bel couldn't close them, offered the final farewell, "Close your eyes."
He sobbed, "Just stay a little longer. You worked hard," unable to control his grief, deepening the sadness. The 'Mobengers' cast members watching this in the studio also shed tears and shared the heartache.
Before heading to the crematorium, Bae Jung-nam spent his last moments remembering Bel, walking together across the rehabilitation center lawn full of memories with Bel and saying, "You used to always run and play here." Bae Jung-nam's deep love for Bel and the pain of the sudden parting were conveyed intact, leaving a heavy feeling.
