Actor Im Chae-moo showed his attachment to Dooly Land, which he protected to the point of selling a mansion in Yeouido on 'Sadanggwi' and even sleeping in a restroom.
On the 19th broadcast of the KBS 2TV entertainment program Bosses' Ears Are Donkey Ears (abbreviated Sadanggwi), Im Chae-moo appeared as the new boss.
Im Chae-moo is a veteran actor and at the same time the 35-year CEO of the amusement park Dooly Land. Accordingly, he met viewers that day on 'Sadanggwi' as the representative of Dooly Land, nicknamed "debt land".
In particular, it is known that he took out a loan of 19 billion won while operating Dooly Land. As a result, he experienced such financial hardship that he lived sleeping in a restroom.
While touring Dooly Land, Im Chae-moo looked at two foldaway beds placed in the corner of a restroom no longer in use and called his wife. It turned out that the restroom was where Im Chae-moo and his wife slept during hard times.
Im Chae-moo recalled, "It was nice when we lived in Yeouido. A 67-pyeong mansion, but when this (Dooly Land) started, there was nowhere to go. We couldn't rely on living with someone else," and laughed, saying, "We put two beds down and even cooked in the restroom."
Now able to speak of it with a smile, his wife was lost in recollection. She replied, "(My husband) truly loves the children, so I trusted that feeling and came along."
But their children felt differently. In particular, Im Chae-moo's daughter, who works with him at Dooly Land, confessed, "I was shocked (by the restroom sleeping). I really hated it. So I stopped him every day. I told him not to (run Dooly Land)," adding to the poignancy.
