"Favorite girl band" QWER celebrated its second anniversary since debut.
QWER (Chodan, Magenta, Hina, Siyun) appeared in the music scene on Oct. 18, 2023, and from their debut song "Discord" they have steadily climbed domestic major music charts with each release. Through "Gominjungdok," QWER achieved YouTube's No. 1 most popular song in Korea for 2024, and with "Nae Ireum Malgeum" they won three music show trophies, an unusual achievement for a girl band.
Riding their hot popularity, QWER enjoyed consecutive wins at domestic music award ceremonies, including the 2024 K-World Dream Awards, 2024 Korea Grand Music Awards, 2024 MAMA Awards, 2024 Melon Music Awards, 2024 Asia Artist Awards, the 1st The Awards, the 34th Seoul Music Awards, and the 2025 K-World Dream Awards. Over the past two years QWER lifted a total of 12 trophies, including grand prizes, main awards and rookie awards, rising as the undisputed "favorite girl band" with both fandom and mainstream appeal.
Their festival performances also stood out. Less than a year after debut, QWER appeared at the 2024 Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival, one of Korea's representative festivals. Amid pouring love calls, QWER took over major domestic festival stages and became the top choice for bookings. With their upbeat yet refreshing band performances, QWER swept not only this year's festivals but also university festivals, emerging as a "trend band."
Furthermore, QWER is expanding its activities beyond Korea to overseas stages, becoming a "global favorite girl band." In April and May they held fan concerts in Japan and Taiwan, respectively, closely connecting with local fans. Beginning in Seoul from Oct. 3 to 5, QWER embarked on their first world tour, the 2025 QWER 1st World Tour "ROCKATION," starting a voyage to 16 cities worldwide.
After a remarkable two-year growth story, QWER celebrates their second anniversary with fans. On Oct. 13 they released a special LP, "Beyond the Discord," and from Oct. 17 to 29 they will open a pop-up store, "Born 2 Rock' QWER 2nd Anniversary POP-UP Store" at the Musinsa Store Daerim Warehouse in Seongdong District, Seoul. Rich participatory content, including a voice docent and handwritten letters directly contributed by QWER, will offer fans special memories.
