H.O.T. alumnus singer Moon Hee-jun candidly revealed why he dropped plans for a third child.
On Oct. 17, a video titled "Is there news of a third child at Jaemi House too..?! Jaemi House fan meeting after four years!" was released on the YouTube channel Jaemi House. At the fan meeting in the video, Moon Hee-jun was asked, "What are the good and difficult aspects after having your second child?"
Moon Hee-jun said, "If circumstances allow, I think the more children the better. But for someone like me who married late, two children seem to be the limit," sharing his realistic concerns. He went on, "I want to hold and pamper them more, but my back has started to hurt. There was even a time I was hospitalized just from lifting my child," describing the hardships of parenting.
Regarding plans for a third child, he revealed an unusual criterion, saying, "Now I think I have to ask the second child." He said, "Before having the second child, I asked the first, 'When you were born, did you come out with the door open or closed?' and the first said, 'I came out with it open.' So I really believed it. This time I asked the second, and they said, 'I came out with it closed.' That was it," drawing laughter.
In the end, Moon Hee-jun added, "It seems to be finished with one son and one daughter. Two children are fine. It's just right physically and emotionally," announcing that he had dropped plans for a third child.
Meanwhile, Moon Hee-jun married Soyul, formerly of Crayon Pop, in 2017, and they have one son and one daughter.
