Group MAMAMOO's Hwasa said she lost weight down to the 40-kilogram range for her new song promotions.
On the 17th, the YouTube channel Moonbyulida posted the video "[Byeol's house arrest] I also have members!!!! l EP.11 Hwasa (HWASA) episode."
Hwasa, who recently made a comeback with the new song "Good Goodbye(굿 굿바이)," grants on Moonbyul's YouTube and talked about various topics.
Moonbyul said "I'm running in the second half of the year. So I'm getting energy. Before that I was very depressed. I'm also someone who needs to receive energy physically. Now I'm releasing songs, meeting fans and planning the next thing, so I'm very happy now," she said.
Hwasa empathized, "Unni is also someone who always has to do something. If she rests she seems to slump a bit," and Moonbyul confessed, "From then on I started to gain weight. Because I rested so much I opened my eyes to food, moved less and didn't dance."
Hwasa laughed and said, "Even moving like that I was 50kg," and Moonbyul retorted, "Isn't our body lines different?" When asked about her weight, Moonbyul answered, "I'm 45kg now," and Hwasa said, "Not much different from me?" sounding satisfied.
Moonbyul expressed concern to Hwasa, "Why did you lose so much weight? Did you lose it because of the comeback? You've lost too much."
Hwasa explained, "I changed my exercise method because of the comeback. My stage style itself tends to be very intense. Running from the first song to the last, if I go to a very skinny body type like unni's I can't handle it. There's no tension in the dance and I like that chewy feel, and a body with some flesh and muscle suits me better."
She added, "But this song is somewhat delicate and fragile. It's a person with a story in their heart. So when the heart suffers, doesn't the body lose a lot of weight? I wanted to try that kind of mood, so I told the teacher to change the plan to a delicate, slight body. I did lose a lot."
Earlier, on the web variety show "Narae-sik" in February she said, "I completely gave up greasy foods for dieting," revealing her weight loss efforts.
