Former Jewelry member Jo Min-a said she became an insurance queen and shared upbeat news after her divorce, but she announced she collapsed at work, drawing sympathy.
On Oct. 18 Jo Min-a posted on her social media account, "After abdominal cramps I suffered from benign paroxysmal positional vertigo for nearly a week and collapsed at work, heading to the emergency room," recounting the urgent recent situation.
Jo Min-a explained, "I had an MRI of my brain and underwent various heart-related tests; fortunately there were no abnormalities, but they said my brain may have been strained during the nearly 30 minutes I was unconscious and told me to be hospitalized for a few days and take absolute rest."
But as a single mom and working mom, Jo Min-a could not rest with leisure. She conveyed this situation while saying, "Everyone, please take care of your health. I will take better care of and love myself too. For me. For my son. For our happiness."
Jo Min-a, who debuted in 2002 as a member of the group Jewelry, left in 2005, married a non-celebrity man in Nov. 2020 but divorced, and now raises her son alone.
Having earned various certifications and working hard as a single mom and working mom, Jo Min-a has recently been thriving as an insurance planner. She said she was crowned the 13th insurance queen last month, reporting her performance by saying, "I surpassed the previous record of 15.5 contracts and closed 19 contracts."
Jo Min-a said, "I can't do everything perfectly while keeping hold of everything, so I am faithful to the role-playing given to me within the limits I can do. Rather than blaming a job or someone for making me suffer, I think my mind that accepts that work and the me who repeatedly chews over wounds received from someone are what make me suffer, so I cried my heart out, slept well, woke up and exercised excitedly, and with a mindset of 'forgetting,' I left a deep impression."
