Recently a shabu-shabu brand announced on its official social media that it had "welcomed Won Bin, the national treasure actor and symbol beloved by Korea," announcing his selection as an exclusive model. It added, "Is there anyone in Korea who doesn't know Won Bin? There is no expression more fitting than 'national treasure actor'," emphasizing his unique presence.
In the released advertisement, Won Bin completed an elegant and refined look by pairing a neat suit with a silk scarf. With a restrained expression and deep gaze alone, he showcased his still "sculpted visuals," drawing admiration from fans.
But some netizens expressed regret, saying, "Is it right to call an actor whom we only see in ads a 'national treasure actor'?" and "I want to see him in a work now." Others gave contrasting opinions, saying, "Won Bin is an actor who became a legend with a single work," and "He is a symbol in himself, so it's enough."
Won Bin married actress Lee Na-young in 2015 and they welcomed a son in December of the same year. Since then he has rarely appeared at official events or in works, but he has consistently proven his unchanged visuals and presence through advertisements.
