Actress Son Tae-young expressed disappointment toward Kwon Sang Woo for not observing their wedding anniversary.
On the 18th, a video titled "What was Kwon Sang Woo's surprise gift who flew in by plane for our 17th wedding anniversary? (Son Tae-young choked up, U.S. house new interior)" was uploaded to the "Mrs. New Jersey Son Tae-young" channel.
That day Son Tae-young turned on the camera with Kwon Sang Woo, who had returned to the United States. Kwon Sang Woo said, "I came to the U.S. briefly again. We see each other often this year, right? It feels like we live together," and Son Tae-young said, "Exactly. If my husband is gone for a bit I think he went to a provincial shoot."
Kwon Sang Woo said, "When I came this time it was the Chuseok holiday, so plane fares were very expensive. I wanted to try it once. It's Air프레이마. It was my first time; it was quite spacious," and added, "But by chance I arrived on Sept. 28, and that day happened to be our wedding anniversary."
Then Son Tae-young complained, "Wedding anniversary, that's it. There was nothing. I thought I would arrive and say, 'Honey, it's our anniversary,' but all I heard was that you were hungry."
Kwon Sang Woo frankly said, "I ate the ramen, the dumplings and pizza that were in the fridge and went to sleep," and Son Tae-young said, "He came almost at midnight and was clattering around. So I woke up. I have to sleep because I get up at 6 a.m. to ride early the next day. So even if he clattered around I endured and slept. But then he woke at 5 a.m. and was clattering downstairs. I really only got three hours of sleep that day because of him," and she added, "I have nowhere else to complain but to the camera. I thought he had forgotten the date."
Kwon Sang Woo said, "I remember the date," and Son Tae-young pressed, "Then why didn't you say anything?" Kwon Sang Woo tried to excuse himself, "No, it was early morning and you were sleeping...," but Son Tae-young pointed out, "What do you mean early morning? You came at 11."
In particular he became emotional, saying, "But it was the first time in five years we were together on our wedding anniversary. One hour," and Kwon Sang Woo awkwardly asked, "Was it?" Son Tae-young said, "I came to the U.S. and oppa was working so we only did it over the phone, and this was the first time we were together for one hour. Will we be together for two hours next year?" and added, "He didn't even say he'd buy a gift. I bought a gift. I ordered it and he's wearing that outfit now. But he didn't bring a perfume from the duty-free shop."
Kwon Sang Woo tried to smooth things over, "I'll buy you something better," and Son Tae-young coquettishly said, "When? Next year? Give me a card. Like Riho. Give me a card." Then Kwon Sang Woo tried to change the subject, "Shall I tell the Riho story?" and Son Tae-young said, "Why are you deflecting? I kept the birthday gift and I'm keeping the wedding anniversary gift; I'll combine the three anniversaries including Christmas to buy something big. I'll buy a nice outerwear," she said, cracking up.
Meanwhile, Son Tae-young married Kwon Sang Woo in 2008 and they have one son and one daughter. Afterward, Son Tae-young stopped acting following the 2017 MBC drama "You Are Too Much" and moved to New Jersey in the United States with her children in 2020, where she has been living, while Kwon Sang Woo has been active as an actor in Korea, traveling between Korea and the United States.<
