Korean-British actress Clara divorced after six years of marriage.
On the 17th, Clara's agency KHS Agency issued an official statement saying Clara completed the uncontested divorce process in August.
Earlier, Clara married Korean-American businessman Samuel Hwang, who is two years her senior, in 2019. The couple set up their newlywed home in a 76-pyeong Signiel Residence in Songpa District, Seoul, and at the time the sale price was reported to be in the 8 billion won range, drawing attention. The newlywed home is currently estimated to be worth more than 11 billion won.
After marriage, Clara was active in Greater China and shared a luxurious lifestyle on social media. In particular, Clara posted affectionate photos with her husband and sweet remarks such as "My Love" and "my eternal love," showing off a rosy mood.
Although Clara had promised undying love for her husband, she ultimately finalized an uncontested divorce, bringing an end to about six years of marriage.
The agency said, "After long and careful discussions with her spouse, they reached this conclusion." Although the uncontested divorce was already finalized in August, they delayed announcing the news because they needed time for mutual understanding while considering the positions of both families.
Through her agency, Clara also apologized, saying, "We are sorry to deliver this unfortunate news to the many people who sent congratulations and support at the time of the marriage," expressing regret for causing concern among fans and many others.
Meanwhile, Clara has appeared in Chinese films such as the Mermaid 2, The Great Hongbao, Sky: The Prelude to Battle, Yin Yang Skin, and Wandering Earth 2, solidifying her position as an actress, and she was recently reported to have filmed a new movie, The Surgeon, with Greater China star Andy Lau.
