"Global rookie" VVUP has transformed from a tiger into a dokkaebi.
VVUP (Kim, Paen, Suyeon, Jiyun) posted the third concept photo for the pre-release track "House Party" from their first mini album at 12 a.m. today (17th) on their official social media.
In the released photos, VVUP reinterpretated the dokkaebi from Korean culture in a modern, trendy way. The four members paired neatly braided pigtails with norigae and other accessories, and the kitschy mood color points blended harmoniously to amplify their mysterious charm. In particular, VVUP drew attention with the mischievous side of the dokkaebi through confident gazes and poses.
Through three consecutive versions of concept photos like this, VVUP sublimated Korean elements such as tigers and dokkaebi into their own sensibility, offering rich visuals. VVUP is receiving strong attention from domestic and overseas fans with a distinctive visual that combines the elegance and beauty of tradition and modernity.
"House Party" is the pre-release track from VVUP's first mini album, set to be released in November. Foretelling changes across music, performance and visuals, VVUP is making thorough preparations to show fans a more grown-up side ahead of their first comeback after rebranding.
VVUP will hold their debut showcase on the 22nd at 8 p.m. at Blue Square SOL Travel Hall. VVUP is preparing a variety of segments to communicate closely with fans, and will present the stage for "House Party" for the first time that day. VVUP's debut showcase will also be streamed live on their official YouTube channel, raising expectations.
Meanwhile, the track "House Party" from VVUP's first mini album will be released on various music sites at 6 p.m. on the 22nd.
